So I'm on my 3rd battery in 7 years, 9k miles. Does anyone know if its worth prying these open and adding distilled water?

I'm guessing it's not drying out. Do you use a float or trickle charger? The regular use of these things often lengthens the lifetime of batteries considerably.

Yep, have it on a battery tender, except last couple of weeks I had to unplug it because i was doing work in the garage.

Maybe its antigravity time!!

Just buy a new battery if it is already 3 yrs old, AGM preferred to avoid issues. I just had mine leaked and I don't want to deal with traditional lead acid battery anymore.

My OEM batteries last 4 years and I have never added water or charged on a battery tender. I do yake it for a ride of 20 miles every week.
