I've been reaserching past 2 weeks. finally it comes down between p600 vs aam gt600r without downpipe. Both company claim similar power gain although switzer one has no intake and smaller exhaust. AAm is about $1500 more because i opt to go with aam premium adjustable exhuast. What would you guys go with??

Ps. Aam is only 40mins away from my house
Switzer kit has to shipped and i have to take it to local tuning shop

Seems like a no brainer to me. Go to the shop closest to you. AAM kit from AAM. If you want service later on, thats what I would do. You can always drive there and have them tune the car in the future as you do more mods. Ive considered both AAM and Switzer. Only reason I havent gone the 600 packages is because I am in socal with shitty 91 gas. The nearest tune shop is 4 hours from me. Both those kits are very similar in power. I think with switzer you get a titanium lightweight exhaust.

I too have been looking at the 600-650 kits, but there are no good shops around me that I trust to do the install and tune. I had a real bad experience with a shop a few years back and have a hard time trusting someone to work on my car now.

I wish one of the big tuners on the forum was local to me as I will not let someone touch my car unless they have proven results and can stand behind the work. If one of the big shops is close to you go with the kit they offer.

exactly my problem I know your in great hands with Switzer! I don't know the guys at AAM, but I assure you that Neil and Tym Switzer will take care of you, no matter how close or far away, or big or small the package you buy! I would go meet the guys at AAM and talk to the guys at Switzer which ever one you feel more comfortable with is the route you go!

AAM all the way. Their service is second to none and the power results are excellent.

An intake won't make much difference unless you go to larger turbos from what I have learned, about 10 hp for $1000 on the P600.

Switzer uses a titanium exhaust that is 50 lbs lighter than stock and gives about 30 extra whp. I believe it is also used on the R1k.

Myself, I would go with the tuner that is within a short driving distance. My Nissan GT-R mechanic said he can install a P600 kit after I buy it, and that it will not void my warranty.

If I was in reasonable driving distance of one of the big shops on the forum I would have the kit installed already lol. I have been using my dealer for parts installs as they have no problem doing it and it gives me a little leverage with warranty claims.

Vinny ten racing is in long island. He is definitely a good tuner and has been in the scene for over 20 years. I'd trust him more on installs then a dealer
