Picked up 2010, pics, impression

hey guys

Picked up a 2010 from Hunt Club Nissan in Ottawa. Just some cellphone pics.

Still has the 2000rpm LC. And the dealer already put winter tires on. Getting the Accessport soon. It is very fast at any speed and so easy to drive. The odd thing was that I never got that exciting rush when playing with a new toy. It felt like why haven't I done this a long time ago, like the car is already an old friend, like the car and driver are a unity. I have driven "nicer" cars than GT-R but this is the first time anything gave me this impression. After a few moments I just thought this is all the car I would ever need.

Being a GT-R there are some rough edges like low speed jerkiness and interior rattle. I used to be picky on rattles but again first time i can forgive a car for have those. Take off didn't seem to have as much G-force as the X6M despite having a much lower 0-60 time. Maybe the low rpm launch has something to do with it. The Accessport should take care of that.

Congrats!
This car was driven by the dealership's owner.
That is where I got my GTR too. They're great! And very tuner friendly from what I can tell....
Hope to see you in town.

Thanks.

Yeah I met the owner and he seemed like a good guy.

I'm not gonna mod this car too much. Been waiting for the 2013 which was announced yesterday when I picked up the car. Gotta save up for that.

Hope to see you around! Are you driving it in winter?
congrats on the new car! GTR+RR must be a great combo

Enjoy in good health.

You need LC1 or LC4! Launching Past 3500 RPMS is brutal... in a great way!!

I too have LC2 (2000RPM), it launches great but i can only imagine how Launching past 3500RPMs would feel..

Depending on how the car is feeling it may let you launch at around 2500ish..

Just gave it a tune today and certainly made the car better. Normal driving wash't too different. But I tried launching at 4000rpm and 3500rpm. Both times spung the blizzaks I have on. weather is 4 degrees celsius and road was dry but air was damp. So my guess is anything over 3000 won't work on the blizzaks. Guess I have to wait till next year to try on summers then.
Guys,

LC2 launches at 3,000 rpms NOT 2,000.

It will sometimes even go to 3,300 IF you do it right.

Put the traction control to either R or off.

Put your foot on the brake and push HARD. I would recommended 100%.

Now SLAM your foot on the throttle. Don't push the throttle down hard. SLAM it down!

The rpms will raise to 3k and then let off the brake and your off.

Have fun.

yeah me saying 2000rpm wasn't accurate. mine will go as high as 2500 but never 3000. which is by far the fastest time given the weather and tires I have.
Congrats! I'm sure you will enjoy!
Take my advice and it will o to 3000 or a bit higher.
You were right. Thanks for the advice.
But our temp just dropped below zero. Anything above 3000 spins the wheels. Won't be able to enjoy it for a couple of months.

thx

Nice mods! even nicer girl

Where, in Ottawa, did you get your GTR tuned?

Awesome! Glad I could help.

It's going to be 84 today in Palm Beach. ;)

We are waiting for it to cool down still.

lol not a real tune just AccessPort. Good enough for me at least for now. So are you driving yours in winter?

Nice weather down there. But surprisingly GTR is pretty fun to drive in snow. You can enjoy it in winter and summer in very different ways. Truly a multi-performer.
