Carbon roof on white GTR: Paint it or not?​

Help me decide whether to paint it or not please

My honest view is that the carbon contrast on the roof on a white GTR spoils the lines of the car. I would like to paint it (leaving a little edge in carbon or something) because just like when I painted the bonnet I don't want the car to look like an all out race car. Just tasteful carbon mods. Me knowing that the roof is carbon is enough, I don't have to display it to the whole world.

But I know once I paint it, there's no going back. I'll probably leave it unpainted for a while and see if it grows on me.

Your opinions would be appreciated.

If you are to leave edges, may I suggest to leave only the 2 edges parallel to the doors unpainted? IMHO that's the only way to decently retain those lines.

what about doing a wrap instead? then you can change it whenever you like or make designs in the wrap to show off alittle bit of the carbon.

None locally can do a proper wrap

i'd also suggest the wrap option but Mindless went ahead of me.
Painting would also decrease the chances of selling it if you ever decide to do so.

back to your original question, i prefer to have the carbon look on the roof than anywhere else on the car because i think it gives the car a more pressed down / wide&shallow look which i think gt-r is missing since day 1.

The car looks amazing and I think the addition of the carbon roof panel will really set it off. You're replacing the roof with the carbon fiber one to save weight, why throw a few hundred grams of paint back on it!

IFF your #1 priority is to remain OEM-looking, then sure.
