As some already know im in the market for a gtr in months time, more like a lifetime (not like im counting the days or anything). But im a noob when it comes to general Buying & most things about the car.

I bought my g35 4 years ago with just my own quick/basic inspection, by sound, and general looking, & by how it drove. I actually lucked out and havent had Any major problems since I bought with 55k miles, now hitting near 100k. Besides belts, a/c pulley, and ballast. Still drives as smooth as the day I bought it.

-But a Professional PPI is needed for this car obviously. I may sound like an idiot, which is half true lol- I am a diesel mechanic for the railroad. But does the dealer (if not from an actual Nissan dealer) already have a PPI/record available at time of purchase? & also how trustworthy is it?- would it be if done By the lets say Exotic car dealer mechanic that see's a lot of high end cars, but again Works for that dealer at the end of the day and gets paid by Them.

If this is not the case, how do I schedule one? Also where to get it from? Or if im just being a complete jackass feel free to say. Thanks in advance!

I'm in the process of buying a GT-R (tomorrow if PPI is clean)

The dealer I went to is an exotic car dealer and had PPI done by a Nissan dealer the day I went to see the car. I requested to do another PPI on my dime by another Nissan dealer and the exotic dealer happily took it to Nissan for me. They just asked me to call Nissan and make an appointment.

Nissan Dealers with a GTR tech can do it. Mine cost $200 to do, even if the same dealer runs it on the GTR they are selling the info will be good. As the temps, number of launches, etc are all from the GTRs computer.

Sounds good. So basically they cant "fake" a good running/standing gtr. Unless they use photoshop. lol

Anyone mind sharing a photo of there PPI? (without personal info/vin etc if noted) just so I can get an idea on what to look for, whats normal? Greatly appreciated. - Unless its just a series of computerized checks that pass/fail.. which is then obvious.

Also read from a older post that they can also check the exterier as well/if its not already stated in agreement of the PPI. Which is good.

Yeah they check everything. It's about 1.5-2 hours of work. They check all lines, fluids, suspension, tires/wheels, exterior, lighting, then all the computer history, etc. it's worth it for piece of mind.

Depending if every dealer has the same price, guy above said ~$250, older post said ~$300-500.. which is a lot more to spend when your in the process of saving/buying one lol. But surely a Great way to find things out either way.

Google image isnt very helpful with my question on sharing a Image of a gtr PPI though, so again if anyones willing to share, give some more pointers on ppi results etc. Thanks.

For sure, id have better chances inspecting myself than some basic tard tech. Half my job is looking for mechanical/structural issues on locomotives, same concept/but way different lol

Is this anything different than a 100 point used car inspection, the dealer I spoke to was not familiar with the term PPI

I am still in the Saving process, but my guess is No 100PI is probably Not the same. Call other dealers and ask if they have a gtr specialist to do a PPI.. Also would depend on who you are actually talking to.
