Hey everyone,

I have been in the market for a GTR for a while and now that the lease on my current car is almost up, I figured the time to search for one is now. I live in Southern California, and I drove up to Connell Nissan in Costa Mesa, Ca. They had 3 GTRs. The one I was fortunate enough to test drive was the 2009 Black Premium. This car has no scratches and the interior was in great condition, and it drove great. The asking price for this was $72k, With 16,000 Miles. I would like to know if this is a car that I should look into more, or move on and try and find a better deal.

I am only looking for Black/ Gunmetal, If that helps.

:Edit:

I have a link to the car that I drove,

http://www.connellnissan.com/used/Nissan/2009-Nissan-GT-R-d55154f40a0d066901a0b0667af24ec0.htm

Thanks

I have actually read in more than one place that for some reason Socal has the most expensive GTR market.
That's true. Most likely the good weather and the income level there.

Not bad! Could probably talk them down a couple of thousand too.
I do like the GTR and the car as a whole, But I don't really want a red one. I want something that downplays the car. Reds just to "Flashy" as I would call it. People that know about the car will know it when they see it, But to most people on the Road a Black car is a Black car.

Understandable. I like to stand out, so red is no issue to me.

Well I never really introduced my self, I am a Junior in High School, and I currently drive an Audi S5 that my father got 1 Year before I got my drivers permit. I learned to drive in an S5, and my school is in a Nice area, Lots of people have nice cars so it isnt that out of place. I just don't want to drive to school 1 day in an S5 and the next show up in a Shiny Red GTR. I don't like being the "Center of Attention" if that makes sense. Yes, I do realize any color will still have an effect on some people, But a lot of people probably will hardly even notice.

arent u 16? way to young to own something like a gtr
I am now, Wont be when i get a GTR. 17 at the earliest, most likely even 18. Everyone has their own opinions on this, But I don't think its as much as an issue as lots of people think. I live in an area with lots of turns, Hills. Speed limits generally don't go over 45 until you get further out of the town. So from a parents point of view one might argue I could go 60 and take a turn in any car and flip just as I could with this car. It all depends on the person driving it.

That's overpriced...I got my 09 SS premium with 6,400 miles, mods in sig/Cobb AP, tints, extensive clear bra for 65k from east coast. I flew up there and drove it back..good luck

The dealers are asking a lot for GTRs because there hasn't been one for sale in whole sale auction Manheim since June, which sold for $67K.

They have to add minimum of 10% markup to all their used car inventory to almost breakeven.

Yeah. Hard to gauge the value of a car that doesn't come up for auction often!

Prices seem to be creeping up. A GTR at age 17 is kinda scary ......
