Hi,
My name is Matteo Malucelli, I'm an italian driver and Gt-r tuner.

Sorry but, I'm really worry, because I've a problem with the GR6 and the car will race in Mugello Circuit the 13th of november.

In the gearbox I've installed:

-all the Dodson gears from 1st to 6th
-upgrade the pump with dodson parts

The gearbox apparently works well if I go slow.

Instead when a push full throttle the car shift well from 1st to 3rd, but when I put 4th gear, the gear doesn't enter. 5th and 6th are good.

The problem is only from 3rd to 4th.

I saw on the 006 Access port these errors:
B2602 Shift positon
B2603 Shift position stutus

That's the first geabox, so I don't know the way to solve the problem.

Could you give me a hand?

Thanks a lot

Matteo

Code B2603: Intelligent key system - shift position status. BCM detects the followings status for 500 ms or more when shift is in P position, and ignition switch is in the ON position. P/N position signal (from TCM): approx. 0 V / Control device (detention switch): approx. 0 V

I assume you have tried to clear the code already?

I tried to cancel, but you think that my changing for 3rd to 4th depend from these errors? When I put one gear from P I saw immediatly B2602 and B2603

If not, doesn't metter.

My real problem is when I change from 3rd to 4th, the 4th doesn't enter. If I go slow with low gas the 4th enter well.

What I should do to solve this? Is strange because all the other gears work well.

The car is now a race car.

Roll bar, 18'' slick tyres, 800 hp 1500 kg.

I've rebuilt all the gearbox with Dodson parts, to run on track safety, but now I have this problem with the 4th gear and I've not experience with the GR6.

So before open it another time, I would know if there is another possibility....

It's a problem with the installation of the gears themself. U should have left someone expert do the job. The GR6 is not a really easy gearbox to work on. Contact Shperad to fix the problem. Let experience ppl work on the GTR or u will keep having problems.

Who is Shperald?

We have experience, we have a Ferrari And Maserati dealership, but that's our 1st Gr6, so I need someone with more experience.

Apparently always is good, but the 4th doesn't enter well.

How Can I do to' contact Shperald?

Thanks!

My chef meccanic rebuild it.

He's very good.
It sounds like an installation issue and will require that you open the gearbox up again. Make sure that the piston sleeves are properly aligned to each shift fork. My guess is something is not installed or aligned properly. If it was simply an issue with the sleeve position and magnet orientation, the car simple goes into limp mode 1/3/5 or 2/4/6 and throws a different code from what you've posted. I have never seen this code before, but based on it's description it seems like mechanical error.

Edit: I just realized you posted B codes not P codes. In which case, you might get lucky and it's an electrical or sensor/wiring related issue. This is a body control code, rather than a direct transmission code. There are many interconnects between the two so without some additional troubleshooting it's hard to say.

We are one of the few facilities in the country that perform all aspects of GR6 upgrade, repair, and modification and are also a Dodson Authrorized Installation facility. If you need further assistance, please send an email to [email protected]. Thank you.

When you do for the first time One thing, you have to' male experience.

Thr only code Are B2603 And B2602, And I think Are not depending from this gear problem.

It's strange because all work good And I can make also the 'run clutch gear' with the Access Port.

Huston we have a problem!

Being able to do the gear-clutch relearn doens't mean that your transmission is installed correctly. At all. You can do a clutch relearn even when u have some tranny problems.
Contact John @ Shpeard transmission (google is your friend) and ship him the gearbox. That's the best thing u can do if you want to drive the car safely again.

Cheers

Perhaps you should use Google and see where Mugello is.

Thanks for your times.

I've solved, I will go with the car at Mugello not with google.

We are not the best for sure but not also the worst in Motorsport. With Ferrari 458 Challenge we have no problem with the double clutch gearbox, so we need a little bit of experice that you can do only working on the car, not shipping the gearbox to another company.

Thanks to all, for spend time in your advice.
