Yesteday I saw a white R34 heading north at Yonge and Bloomington (looked like NUR edition with the big flat back wing--but I could be wrong on edition).

I was turning in my GTR and gave a wave and thumbs up but not sure if the driver saw or cared. Was it anyone here--if so damn that looked good?

It had dealer removable plates on it by the looks of it.

Are those beasts legal now -- I thought it was another couple of years until they could be imported????

I actually wanted to purchase that GTR before I investigated myself a little bit last year. This car has been discussed ad nauseum on GTRCanada:

The car's been pieced together from a couple of half cuts and assorted bits to fill in the gap (incl rebar).

Interesting test of import laws but not something I'd pick up since they will be legal in 2014.

I think there's going to be a big run on R34 GT-Rs once they become legal for import. However, they're definitely not going to be cheap - they seem to be holding their value very well over there, and additionally the Yen is quite a bit stronger than when the R32s first became eligible for import.
