[Toronto GTR]

Yesteday I saw a white R34 heading north at Yonge and Bloomington (looked like NUR edition with the big flat back wing--but I could be wrong on edition).

I was turning in my GTR and gave a wave and thumbs up but not sure if the driver saw or cared. Was it anyone here--if so damn that looked good?

It had dealer removable plates on it by the looks of it.

Are those beasts legal now -- I thought it was another couple of years until they could be imported????

Yes, couldn't believe my eyes. I saw it twice around Yonge & Bloomington area as well. Looks amazing!

That looks like it -- so clearly you know something about it (or have atleast had access to it)...what is the deal?

Also notice the B-pillar is missing or damaged.

Still nice to see an R34 on the road - I only know of the gray R34 in BC that was selling for $170,000+ a couple of years ago.

I actually wanted to purchase that GTR before I investigated myself a little bit last year. From what the owner told one of my buddys the car was chopped into a few pieces and brought over to Canada and put back together which will explain the pillar being all f'd up and some pieces missing. I even went to see the vehicle what a heap of ......

Interesting test of import laws but not something I'd pick up since they will be legal in 2014.

Actually, I believe the BC one was a different car, it sold through a luxury dealership here in Vancouver a while back. It's been seen on the road here since that.

I think there's going to be a big run on R34 GT-Rs once they become legal for import. However, they're definitely not going to be cheap - they seem to be holding their value very well over there, and additionally the Yen is quite a bit stronger than when the R32s first became eligible for import.
