I have a leak coming from the marked flange (see picture)
I believe its the input shaft flange

Is it posible to buy a replacment seal
And install it with the transmission still in the car
( for example to pull the flange out with a puller and replace the seal)
Or do we need to open the front case to replace it?

It can be done on the car just be careful prying it out and use some sealant around the outer flange and a large socket and tap in straight ensuring you go in straight and flush

Yes you can just change out the seal. Dodson sells the seal. Talk to Mike from shep trans and he will get it sourced. I had my dealer do it. Cost was around $800 installed including a few seals on the front diff installed as well. The seals themselves are not that expensive. Best of luck!
