Very affordable plug and play solutions for all you MY2009 and MY2010 owners out there and don't think the cheaper price is because of the quality. This is a high quality solution with high quality components, just take a look at the reviews if you want a second opinion.

The Backup Camera Kit $450

Highlights:
  • Full step by step instructions with lots of pictures
  • No soldering
  • No cutting of any wires (when comparing with other kits ask if they require wires to be cut!)
  • No drilling
  • High Quality Kenwood Camera
  • High Quality Composite to RGB Converter
The kit provides three video inputs:
  • An input for the backup camera (kit comes with Kenwood CMOS-210), which activates when engaging reverse
  • Two other inputs for front camera etc
  • The additional inputs can be switched by a neat push to toggle switch that can be mounted without drilling any holes. There is also a remote supplied for switching if required.
Just a note on the camera: I use the Kenwood cameras for their quality and the fit. I have experimented with the "OEM Type" cameras that are integrated in to a replacement license plate light, but they are just not as good in my opinion. If you are happy with the quality of those cameras I can probably do the kit for $80 less. Please don't be fooled that these "OEM Type" cameras are better, they are basically just a lot cheaper.

Remote Bypass Kit $225

All the Bypasses you desire with a neat four button remote:
  • Button 1 activate parking brake bypass which can be configured to be permanently bypassed if desired
  • Button 2 bypass of the speed sensor to allow navigation input while the car is moving
  • Button 3 activate reversing cameras without needing to engage reverse
  • Button 4 toggle the additional video sources, front camera in Karl's case (this does the same as the remote that comes with the backup camera kit but means you only need one remote)

Also because any of these buttons can be paired with the home link buttons on the rear view mirror, you could for example:
  • Press the first button to see the front camera
  • Press the second button to see the rear camera
  • Press the third button to bypass the speed sensor.

AV Cable $50

The 3 RCA connectors (Yellow,Red,White) to allow connection of iPod and any other composite based video source.

Front Camera $160 $140 Introductory offer

Of course it goes without saying the front camera is the correct view and not reversed like the rear cameras

Hi All, I cannot say enough good things about this kit and Brian. I ordered my kit for my 2010 GTR last week and it was delivered to my door within 3 days. I ordered the complete kit including the backup camera, front camera and bypass kit. All were packaged separately and neatly with all items including the wires ties present. Against my best judgment, I decided to do this install myself over the weekend despite my limited car knowledge. I reviewed the instructions which were very clearly written with lots of pictures. They were very easy to follow. I had a few issues with some of the connections to be made due to my lack of knowledge, not anything wrong with the kit or instructions. Fortunately, Brian was kind enough to give me his phone number and talk me through the minor issues I had. Kit is now fully installed, done in one afternoon by myself, and it works perfectly. As he states it is fully plug and play with no cutting, splicing, drilling and only minimal tools required. Toggling the cameras from front to rear while driving can be interesting too. Kind of fun to turn on the rear camera to see where you've been. Thank you again Brian for putting this kit together and for going above and beyond to help me with my installation. If anyone is hesitating on buying one of these, don't. It's nice not to worry about backing into something/someone accidentally and those parking curbs that tend to scrape or damage the low front spoiler are no longer an issue.

Again, a big thanks to Brian.

Just saw you released the kit and I just bought it with every option for a 2010 ship to Orlando, FL. Could you pm me your phone number just in case I get stuck on install next week?
Thanks for the order which shipped this morning. I will PM you contact details in case you have any questions.

I just had Brian install the works yesterday (Front, back cameras, AV cable, and bypasses). Brian's quite the perfectionist and you can tell from the quality of parts and attention to detail in everything you'd get. For example, the back camera came with an aluminum attachment plate that is cut to fit the area of installation. Even the tiny bit of cut (1mm thick) was painted over black to match. Now, this piece will never be seen again after installing but it shows the lengths he goes make sure everything is perfect.

The car came apart swiftly as Brian went to work. I'm willing to bet he can take apart the interior of a GTR whilst blindfolded. He's admittedly done this countless times and thus can do it way faster than his projected time for the install. We got done with everything in under 3 hours because a few crucial steps in fishing the cable went without a hitch. During this time I took pictures of a few more steps to add to his guide for the 2009/10.

There's nothing difficult about the install, if you have a few plastic trim removal tools it's easily done. Doing both back and front cameras would have taken me and my brother no longer than a day. All the plugs are made to not be interchangeable except for the power plugs (which doesn't matter anyway) so even if you ignore the labels you would have trouble installing it incorrectly. The cables are longer than is needed but can be squared away easily out of sight. Do Not cut splice any cables to make them shorter, it might affect your picture quality. Nothing in the kit requires splicing or drilling.

"play and play" should be fixed in the first line Brian, its "plug and play"

Bdl99 has my vote, his prices are great, his products and approach to the solution are very well thought out, no wire splicing (unless you go cheap-route), plug and play config. He comes up with quality solutions, where as others I have seen have been a bit more hokey. I held off on buying this setup until bdl99 finally came out with his products. Previously the options that existed weren't as well thought out, and the pricing for what you got was bordering on unscrupulous. Thanks for this new option in this space bdl99 !!

No that is because you get twice the fun for half the price

More seriously, thanks I've corrected it.

Can you PM me the shipped price of the front and rear camera kit to 75204?
PM Sent.

I have also added that combination to the website, because previously just the front and rear was not an option.
Cost would be $610 ($450 rear + $160 Front) + $10.95 for USPS Priority Shipping

I still recommend looking at Bypass kit at the same time for these added benefits:
  • DVD bypass (permanent or remote based and can be paired with Homelink buttons)
  • NAV bypass (remote based and can be paired with Homelink buttons)
  • Ability to view Rear camera when not in reverse (remote based and can be paired with Homelink buttons)
  • Ability to use the Bypass remote or Homelink buttons to display front camera
  • Easier install with Plug and Play connector for reversing wire signal
  • Optional Aux AV cable for $50 vs AV harness kits that sell for $350-400 from other vendors
Happy to sell without the bypass kit, but wanted to post what you would be missing

I ordered the full kit less the AV cable this past Thursday, it arrived Saturday. All items came properly packaged and easily identifiable. The full install roughly took me 5 hours with the occasional neighbor stopping by and thwarting off attacks of please eat something from the wife! I will state what others have said, this is truly plug and play, looks factory and amazing picture quality from both cameras. Absolutely a must have.

Sorry Aristo25, I save $600 and have Bypass and AV Cable!
I am trying to use the rear camera when I am at drag strip. My problem is the reflection while filming, anyone has any idea of how to make it show better on camera?

what kind of camera are you using for the front camera? I already have the rear camera system and bypass, but I want to get a front camera too
It is a bullet camera that fits perfectly through the lower front grill without needing to drill any holes etc. I actually don't make any money on the front camera, they cost $150 plus shipping and I add a few connectors to make them plug and play and you will see it is a $160 option on my kits. For that reason I don't sell the front cameras separately, I just offer them because people want the convenience of buying everything together, but happy to PM you where to get the camera from.

The next question is what interface is used on your rear camera. Most have additional video inputs, but you would need to check your specific interface.

The other way of doing it would be to use the Aux video inputs and then a switch.
