Red cast on rotors = overheating?

Get a call from the dealer who has my GTR and he says the tech noticed a red cast/tinge on my front rotors, indicating, according to him, an indication I ran em beyond their heat range and they should replace em. I say bs, that the Hawk DTC 60s have an upper heat range of 1600 deg F. I think it's rust from sitting idle for 7 wks! So what do the experts think?

If the car was sitting for 7 weeks I'm sure there is going to be some flash rust on the rotors. If the dealer told you that they found that the rotors are starting to develop stress cracks from excessive heat then I would say go for it. Your rotors are fine.
Unless the rotors are physically warped, cracked (beyond crazing), or are worn too thin (unlikely), I wouldn't change them. Maybe somebody smarter than me can chime in as well but I doubt you have a problem.
The only color that you can use to indicate temperatures are temperature paints. Red on an iron rotor= rust.

Most premium rotors are from gray cast iron which melts at 2060-2200 degrees F

Thanks guys, that's what I thought on the rotors, but he wanted to replace the pads not the rotors.

Remove the key part from your GTR key fob. When you can slide the metal part into the cracks in your rotors - they are ready for replacement

Thanks guys, that's what I thought on the rotors, but he wanted to replace the pads not the rotors.
Were they cracked? How much material left?
Funny thing is he never mentioned cracking, only this mysterious "red" color on the rotors. My SA is only relaying info he gets from the tech. I haven't seen the car in 7 wks so I can't say. I do know the front rotors are still pretty new with only about 3 track days on them.
Update. My SA told me the tech was basing this info off what's stated in the service manual re oem pads. Is there some sort of red deposit on rotors when oem pads are ran above their temp range?

Check the brake pad for whitening (carbonizing) and uneven wear.
Replace if necessary. Refer to BR-33, "BRAKE PAD : Exploded
View (GT-R certified NISSAN dealer)".
CAUTION:
• Replace the brake pad and disc rotor as a set.
• Replace all wheels as a set
