Who's a tire balancing veteran? I had a shop balance my wheels/tires and they didn't do a very good job at all.

Long story short, how many pounds of road force is too much? My car has a fine vibration and small steering wheel shimmy at about 75mph...

I remember seeing 18lbs on the front tires and 26lbs on one of the rears.

I ended up having the tires re balanced, turns out one was at 23lbs. The rest were still off on weight.

I won't be going back to that shop anytime soon.

Sounds crazy, but Firestone Tire shops have a pretty decent road force balance system that has always squared me away, no matter the location (geographically).

I went to a Ford dealership with brand new Hunter machines. Fixed me right up.
