Was reading in this month's Super Street (in the feature with the supercharged Rocky Auto 240Z) that one of Watanabe-san's next builds will be a VR38DETT in a 240Z! That's gonna be incredible!

Wonder what width tyres they'll put in the rear to deal with traction?!

I want to do that, but with the entire R35 drive train (engine to wheels) and put it in a Datsun 510.

I sold my 2009 to a guy up north that is putting the whole drivetrain in a '57 Chevy Bel Air.

Maybe Dave should get in on this!
Haha......I've thought about putting one in one of the sandrails I build but the VR38 is heavy.....lol. The V-6 Acuras I use only weigh 350 lbs. The way I'd want to do the VR38 in a sandcar would cost alot and it would be rediculous.............how about 800 hp and less than 2000 lbs total weight.....it is very doable.

^^ that would be awesome too! Has anyone put the VR38 into anything other than a Juke?
A 240 with the VR will do great. Rocky Auto are great, i like their swaps.

There's an idea going on with someone that wants to do the swap with the GR6 into a Hakosuka. I'll open a thread If the project gets a green light.

Making the trans happy in a swap would be a project. Nothing is impossible, but tip to tail swap would be the way.
It is going to be a bitch to install i think. But nothing is impossible like you said, it might take time but im sure its achievable.
