Anyone ever run at San Antonio Raceway? Wondering about track condition and how strict they are with the posted IHRA rules; its a few hours from me and I would hate to get booted after one run.
I was there this past summer, & they were pretty strict. I ran 11.54 & they told me that if I ran 11.49 I'd need a cage, or get booted. I've been waiting for cooler temps to make sure I run my quickest time when they kick me out.
Haven't been to any others. Curvy tracks are my thing, though it is hard to beat $20 for all the runs you want. Let me know if you head out to SAR, & I may be able to get a few people together.
Hey guys, i am in laredo. If you are going, to san antonio let me know. They just opened a track here but its not that good. Needs a little bit of work but its fun. 10 bucks to run. They are not strict at all and can be dangerous.
Went tonight. What a joke -no track prep. I was breaking loose in second gear with traction R mode nannies on to the point I had to let off on several runs. All the cars were getting horrible 60' and g. Hint: go on a big night were they will definitely prep the track. The left lane is supposedly faster and the right lane has a couple bumps that are not fun.
wow let me know if this is going to happen soon. I am coming home on the 5th of January and would love to get to gether with some guys from Texas I will be staying San Antonio. Next month will be the first time I get to drive my car i really cant wait.
