Hi guys, as title says I have a funky smell coming from the car after I drive it for a while, now I know you would assume that this is after the car warms up but it comes and goes even after the car warmed up. It seems to be coming from right behind the cluster, I tried smelling the transmission area and opened the hood but it did not come from any of those areas. When I turn on my air it does not come from there recirculating or not, I did change the cabin filter with no results. Have any of you experienced this before or think you may know what the hell is going on.

- Comes from gauge cluster area.

- The smell in like ammonia with possibly melting plastic or even urine.

- The cluster was recently replaced by the dealer.

- Does not usually happen when car is cold but when it's hot it comes and goes.

Thanks for your input.

When you changed the filter, any appearance of rodent droppings? Was the tech changing the cluster friendly? Any chance he may have sabotaged the car?

possible they put wrong gauge cluster...

some kind of electrical short or overload inside the gauge, or diode or resistor failure..

best is contact the dealer who install the new gauge and have them look at it..
