Recently we completed a few updates to our good friend Jerry's R32 GT-R. Installation of an OS-88 Six Speed Sequential Transmission for the RB26DETT, as well as ACPT carbon fiber drive shaft.



From OS Giken:
"We have designed this sequential transmission to specifically fit the engine characteristics of Nissan's RB26DETT engine to allow it to perform to its maximum potential. To withstand the incredible punishment a race tuned RB26DETT is capable of delivering to the drive train, we have used carefully selected forged and reinforced materials. By optimizing gear size and settings, we have increased the gear axis distance to 88mm, resulting in a 6-speed sequential transmission capable of withstanding up to 1500 horsepower. In addition, our original dog linked mechanism OS-88 Six Speed Sequential Transmission for RB26DETT enables accurate shift changes, as well as providing a positive shift feel. Each unit is hand made and thoroughly examined to our exacting standards prior to shipment to ensure the highest quality."

We also revised the existing engine oil catch reservoir for the transmission fluid.





Below is stock vs aftermarket ACPT carbon composite drive shaft.
"In addition to minimizing rotational power losses, carbon fiber's unique vibration dampening characteristics also help improve power output. Engine builder's are familiar with the power gains that high performance crank dampeners can provide. ACPT's carbon fiber driveshafts give you similar benefits by cutting power losses due to drivetrain vibration."





Jerry is currently running 650-675 AWHP on 91 pump. A new tune using MS109 or C16 will be in the works (800+AWHP) now since his drivetrain has been upgraded.
