While this is a statistic, it may not be super meaningful given that any stock block record is not really sustainable. I get the point but in reality, you have to consider repeatability.

Obviously its not optimum from a reliability standpoint, but I think its good to know what the limits of the stock internals are even for short periods of time. Its also impressive just to see what people can squeeze out of a factory block.

It ran a 9.62 (stock block record?) almost a year ago.
Neil,
E.T yes , power and trap speed NO..

SPE made 832whp mustang dyno on a stock block with greddy turbos , car went 9.76 @ 149.80 ..

I totally agree. The caveat is that you have to be willing to allocate the funds necessary to fix the incremental things that you have broken when the internals give out. As long as you are willing to do this, it is an awesome experiment. Great thread on the limits of a stock block on e85 posted by TopSpeed last week.

Like Sam said that is on borrowed time for sure. Was that the E900 car running open DP that let loose not to long after?
If by "let loose" you mean we tore it down while it was running completely fine, then yes, it "let loose" haha...

After all is said and done, we do not let anyone run more power than our P800 on the stock engine. +1 to racing fan.

Pretty funny how all your fan boys including your team said nothing would go wrong because you guys are the ultimate tuners by controlling the torque bla bla bla. Go ahead and post the pictures of the wavy rods from that motor and I highly doubt it was running "fine" when you decided to take it apart with all the bent rods. Im not saying it wasn't running but running "fine" C'mon MAN!! Hopefully all the owners baby the hell out of the car because there have been quite a few waivy roads on 570 kit motors too, I believe SPE commented on this as well so....

WRX, you are correct, all of the rods were bent, but it did not run or sound any different than a stock GTR off the showroom floor, that was the odd part about it. Who knows how long it ran like that, all I know is JC did not baby his car at all, that thing went through hell and back.

My only comment to those 570 kit GTR's is the obvious lack of tuning control in place by that kit, as I posted in that thread.
