Looked like the driver assumed all lanes would be moving at about same speed, It's not a good idea to be putting down the power and changing lanes since the vision can be impaired momentarily coming out from a dark tunnel to light.

I was in a similar situation like that. Luckily I didnt get in an accident. I hate when you drive out of a tunnel that is so damn bright you cant see. Was in hawaii and driving around the island of oahu. Came out of a tunnel cutting through the mountain and there was a huge boulder that had fallen in the lane. Size of a car. Couldnt even see if until exiting the tunnel.

I blame it on the car more than the driver. Looks like he wanted to stop but couldn't. GTR would of stopped I'm pretty sure, he wasn't even going that fast.

He definitely assumed theta lane was moving equally, I would of also.

What's crazy is, that mistake will cost close to 30k if not more, not sure when that vid was posted but years ago my buddy had a blue Viper GTS with the white stripes and lost it around a turn wiped out the front and i remember him telling me the damage was 40k.

I believe that after an accident such as that, the damage would be the cost of getting yourself a new car with better brakes.

I wouldn't blame the car, I'd blame the driver for being stupid. He went into that lane blind, was going too fast, misjudged his braking distance, and locked up all four tires. That was all him. This is why most people shouldn't drive like jackasses on the streets. I doubt even a GTR could have stopped in the right distance. The only thing that could slow you down enough would be an arresting hook lol.
