ticking/knocking sound at idle when cold

Hi guys, is it normal to hear a ticking or light knocking sound when the car idles when cold at start up? This is on a new 2012 BE. I got my car from an importer so there are no warranties. Thanks ...

I too have noticed the ticking sound coming from the front engine bay area more on my 2012 premium when I first start my car, especially now that the weather is colder.

could be just the injectors opening and closing

Thanks for the invite jeff but i won't be in town this sunday. Probably next sunday if you guys go out again. BTW, how far do you guys go?
