Does anyone know of a touchup paint specialist in NY? Got a chip on the top part of 3/4 panel... Yep, only in NY! ::smh::

I ordered the touch up paint from Nissan but need a place who can do it seamlessly...

Looks like I'm gonna have to add clear bra to the door as well as 3/4 panel now if I want to avoid this from happening in the future.

Yipeeyo. You'll be fine by yourself.

Buy a paint prep pen. (* 3M makes one that I buy from Canadian Tire *)
Have a brand new and fresh paper business card handy.

1) Very gently clean inside paint chip with paint prep pen.
2) Put a drop of paint in the chip. (If you have a pen type paint applicator you're set, if you have spray bomb just spray into cap and use a tooth pick's fat end to pick up and apply.)
3) Set business card against surface of car on it's edge, and angle at about 40-50 degrees.
4) Pull towards you very slowly so that the edge of the card soaks up paint that has bubbled above edges. (You're really letting the card do the work for you, you just expose the leading edge of it by angling it and dragging it towards you. The edges of the card riding on the finished paint will give you a very flat and even dried repair.)

I learned this from a Mercedes Salesman doing repairs on the showroom floor after hours. Once your good, you can hardly tell its been done.
