In order to clean the car, get a rinseless car wash products from chemical guys, ONR, or other detailing companies, and do it yourself.

Go to youtube and search Gary Dean's waterless car wash method. It is much better than the touchless wash machine

Absolutely the worst thing I ever used on my old GTR. It was swirls galore on my black paint. I can see it work on silver or other colors which hide swirls but nonetheless damage is being done.

I use the touch-less wash almost every time I wash my cars, gets the places under the car that I can't without a lift. That being said I only use the cheapest option so the only chemicals being used is soap and water. After I continue to do whatever I think is necessary clay bar, wax, polish, etc.

It depends on what kind of method you are using...^^ I have used Gary Dean's method + some add on and it works great

Also most of touchless or waterless washes are for light dirt..not like heavy dirt...Always wash by two bucket method if it is super dirty..^^

I use touchless wash almost everyweek when I gas my car, it's not going to do a perfect job since it only sprays water, but it's good enough to get dust/pollen off the top and get grimes off the bottom so I don't get heavy build ups. I usually follow up with a real hand wash once a month and wax when I got the time, I daily drive my car plus my car is black, there is no way I can keep it in perfect condition, so the best compromise is just touchless wash everyweek with those drive through. My only complain is that those blow dryers at the end won't do a good job and you will end up with water marks so sometimes I will hand dry them right after the wash. Oh, one thing though, I go to the ones that you drive your car through, not the ones that you drive on the track and they pull you through becuase those usually will scrape wide rims like ours.

I have owned friction and "touchless" car washes for over 20 years. I wouldn't take my GTR through a friction wash because, 1. If it's a tunnel then your wheels won't fit and your car maybe too low. 2. If it's a roll over, they are usually poorly maintained and not worth the risk of messing up your paint. Also 99% of them won't put enough soap on your car so basically it's a wet cloth cleaning your car.

But, touchless washes are safe and they work extremely well to get the salt and grime off. They won't clean as well because of the obvious lack of friction but that's the reason they are safe.

This claim that touchless washes use "acid" is completely false. We all use pretty much the same soaps. I have taken several of my cars through countless wash cycles at my touchless washes without any harm done with auto detailing falls church va. My previous M5 must have been washed approx 700 times over 7 years without a scratch or any damage caused by the "acid". And yes, I do wash my GTR at my touchless washes!
I just got into the cayman I always wanted...how are you guys cleaning this beautiful car..I don't wanna mess up the paint job or get tiny scratches on it..anyone use touchless car washes..the Porsche dealership I got the car from has one and they are willing to give free car washes...are these safe?

if not..how do you recommend to wash this car..also..any solutions to the brake build up that occurs on the wheels..are there any repellents or do you just have to clean your wheels off frequently??

thanx
