Unnecessary. Unless there's an immediate need to park the car and exit, just drive normal for at least a minute or two to get the oil to circulate and cool down the turbos.

^+1. Turbo timers were a necessity 15 years ago but modern tech has made them unnecessary unless you really beat on it and immediately shut down.

IDK how much they were really "required" even back then. I kind of think they were a little gimmicky. Blitz and Greddy made a killing on them I'm sure.

This is what Acura has to say about that in the NSX manual...

"After high-performance driving, it is critical to allow your vehicle to properly cool down. Do not immediately stop your vehicle. Instead, continue driving at reduced speeds, allowing for increased braking distances until your vehicle returns to normal operating temperatures."

This is interesting. In the past 2 years, after parking the car, I let it idle for 1-2 minutes and then switch it off. Sounds logical if we can just switch off after driving gently for the last few minutes. I might try that.
