Just got a '13 Black edition, I have a trailer that I have used in the past for other cars to take to the track. Is there a preferred location underneath the car for tying it down? Are there after market parts to attach to the car to make it easier to tie down?

Thanks,
Mike

I think most will tie it down via wheels. You can cross the straps in the rear and it should stay there. I think Mac's makes the very best tie down straps http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com . You can get there Ultra pack and it has all you need. The protective axle strap will not damage the wheels.
This is what I do. I use the mac's in the rear wheels and the tow hook in the front.

I use the tow hook in the front. In the rear I use axle straps over the subframe right in front of the rear tires. I then run my ratchet straps to the axle strap. Front and rear straps are always in X pattern to limit side to side movement. Google "axle straps". I'm not a fan of wheel straps.

Had to lock up truck and trailer at 70 mph once because of dead stop traffic that came out of nowhere on hwy. Even had a little drifting going on. Car didn't even budge on the trailer. Rock solid.

This took all of 90 seconds to do laying on the ground in my garage. Even if my car was lowered 1" it wouldn't be an issue. Just lay down near front of rear tire and slide the strap in and loop it back. Plenty of room under the end of that suspension arm to slide strap in by hand. Strap will be pulled tight against weld you see on the left. It is not going anywhere.

Now if you are careless and lay the width of the strap so that it is halfway on the subframe tubing and halfway on the end of that bushing eyelet then yes you will have a problem if there is side to side force applied. Done correctly this location is rock solid and doesn't run the risk of damaging wheels and effecting alignments.
