While @UnaBomber's R33 Skyline was being built here at Shine, he wanted to get the paint perfected! As you can see in the before images, the paint was abused and not taken care of properly by the previous owners. Our detail staff had the perfect solution for this problem!

The paint had several swirls, scratches and holograms as you can see below. To fix this we decided to perform a full correction on the R33. This involves several stages of compounding and polishing. After all of this we also applied a coating of CQuartz Finest! CQuartz will allow the paint to be maintained easier, keeps the car free from water and debris with its hydrophobic properties and maintains a "freshly waxed" appearance for many years to come.

On the roof, there was hard water spots and many swirls/scratches across the entire hood.

50/50 shot of one quarter panel. The better looking half still needs some minor compounding to get rid of the rest of the haze you see. It is a night and day difference so far!

We are getting close to the finished product! There are still some slight hazes/scratches that needed to be taken care of but now you can see the red metallic flake that was hidden behind all of those swirls and scratches!

We also polished out the tail lights as they had several swirls/scratches on the lenses. This is a before shot of what they looked like as the car came to us.

The lens on the left is untouched and the lens on the right is a freshly polished lens. What a difference it makes!

Check out some final images of the car during it's debut at WannaGoFast Ocala!

Looks great! What compound/polish combo did you use? I love Griots Fast Correction Cream with Sonax Perfect Finish for a 2 step correction.

I too am curious what compounds you are using. Care to share?

Everyone has their favorites. I have had good success with Pinnacle's products as far as taking out swirls and fin scratches but I am always interested in trying out new products.
