Hope owner is ok, but what's sad - I bet the poor bastard will still have to continue making payments on a car that can't be totaled but it's resale value ruined. This is what frightens me when I drive - that some idiot ahole who's tailgating me to see the car will plow into me and I'll be stuck with a car I can't sell without taking a hit and it won't ever be right again.
