I am a pilot and have access to 100LL for let's say....a really really cheap price.

I am fully aware of the problems with running leaded fuel with a Catted exhaust system. If I were to run a full Cat-LESS system are there any other issues with running 100LL AvGas?

I've run Avgas through my motorcycles for years without any issues (50/50 mix Avgas and 91 Oct)

I dont know th exact answer, but i know many racers dont like it. I think it is mainly due to additives put in the fuel to prevent freezing and other problems at altitude. I am a pilot also and have always avoided 100ll in my cars because i know the local circle track racers say it runs horribly.

Well Avgas does not have any detergents or lubricants so I would not run it 100%. Also the lead content is Low for Avgas it is about the same as Racing fuel and you are going to go through expensive O2 sensors and spark plugs at an accelerated rate. But it is higher octane and if the price of O2 sensors and spark plugs is worth it go for it.

Ahh very true....i didn't think about the plugs and O2 sensors. my bikes don't run O2 sensors and plugs are replaced often so I guess thats why I didn't ever see any issues with it. But my bikes sure do run well with the 100LL Avgas and 91 Oct mix.

I've ran it often in the past i just dont' go over 75% 100LL 25% pump. It does have some quirky characteristics and will feel sluggish down low. Otherwise it's fine and does help with detonation. If i recall 100ll is 2 grams of lead per gallon where c16 is 6 grams of lead per gallon so it's not that bad.

So you have run it in the GTR without problems or on another vehicle? My bikes run great on it except the first 2000 rpm but I'm never that low on the bike anyways

Did you run 100LL with a cat-less setup or with cats?
Cat-less. You can run it with cats for a while with no issues plus if you are deluting the mixture it shoudln't be *too* bad. I always hear people talk about how leaded fuel screws with the o2 sensors too. But yet i know people who run barrels and barrels of c16 through their car and their widebands are fine.

Cat-less GTR's are the way to go.
