Before i begin lil bout myself.. Love all cars.. Owned a few rx7s a supercharged nsx a corvette and a few vipers. Currently have a bolt on 500 rwhp 03 viper with slight weight reduction at 3300 pounds.

Your gtr on the other hand never impressed me visually. But the initial ring numbers blew me away. But then it was rumored that the car that ran the ring had more boost and differant tires than the production model. And the production gtr's wernt anywere near the time.

Then i saw vids of stock gtr's beating f430s and other vids of stock gtr's haveing their hands full with ls3 vettes.

Honestly i started belieaving the gtr was just smoke and mirrors and since not my visual style i just wrote the car off.

Well my buggy bought a stock 2011 gtr and we decided to see if it was all hype or the real deal. We grabbed my 3300 pound 500 rwhp and 545 rwt srt10 viper and pitted it against the 420 awhp 3800 pound stock gtr.

Keep in mind this viper netted me a win by a nose against a lp570 superlegerra some months back

First run starting at 65 mph it appeared the gtr was myth busted. We hit it at the third beep and the viper walked away quite easily. And was 2-3 cars ahead by 120 mph.

Then somthing magical happenned. We started at 30 mph and went on the third honk. The gtr jumps out a lengthand it takes me till 100 mph to get even and then at 120 mph the gtr's hood was at my door. A slight victory for the snake but very impressive.

Perhaps a fluke?

We did the same race again and the outcome was exactly the same only we went to 130mph nd i was just a length ahead.

I gotta give props were props is due... For a stock car hanging by me like that is pretty amazeing and the gtr is defiently for real.

Heres the vid

Heres me and the lp570.... First run im at 450 rwhp and second im at 500 rwhp like when i raced the gtr

Yes theirs a vid out their of me getting pounded by a 750 awhp sp engineering gtr.. Then ive beaten a 600 awhp gtr from a 70 mph punch by a length and been beaten by a 520 awhp intake tune exhaust gtr from a 45 mph punch by a half car length.

The thing is raceing gtr's with 100 over stock from basic mods or 200 over stock from every upgrade on stock turbos tp 300 over stock from a 25k build told me nothing about the actual gtr... I mean an old 2000 ls1 camaro with a 175 shot is a fast car... But race a stocker and its pathetic

Running the stocker showed me exactly why the car is so praised. Call it gearing or the trannie or whatever excuse people wanna make. But from a dig or a low roll a stock gtr will embarass a lot of supercars

Thanks for posting killemall. Everyone on this forum respects and loves other cars like the viper. You only have to watch out for the monster we call "skyliner."

Let's hope we do not wake the beast!

Man do I love your video editing, Killemall. I may have to plagiarize that whole scary mask in the camera thing.

Hi Killemall, I just to have say I have nothing but respect and admiration for the Viper and from what I've seen, it is the most underrated car out there!

A lot of people keep bringing up corvettes when comparing(which are fast as well) but no one seems to remember the amazing lap the Viper ACR did with the 7:22 N'ring laptime(when no race-like Michelen tires existed).

I gotta ask you though, how is the reliability of the car overall? My cousin bought one and he complained a lot, and he has driven many, many cars. How did you reduce the weight exactly?

Anyways, take care of that beast!

The op's model is an SRT-10 convertible. He can troll about rolling pulls but on a road course it's... sayonara!
Check the 'ring times, half a minute apart! slower even than the EVO X... lol

As an owner of both a GTR and Viper ACR, I can tell you there's absolutely no comparison: The ACR will eat the GTR on any road course I've ever ran at.

. My car is 2003 technology. Faster than 06 z06s on some road courses and slower on some others. The ring time says 7.59 but that was a private owner haveing fun. Not a major magazine or dodge ect. Despite that in stock form the car would max out around 7.47 driven by a professional wich is awesome for 2003 but not comparable to todays monsters. Of course my extra 50 hp and nitto invoi tires, roll bar welded to frame eibach suspension are all an effort to get the car 7.3x capable by a pro driver. My friend and i plan to take the gtr and viper to a road course eventually.

I know of the guy your referring to who's name we dont speak. My gtr buddies have told me real world.

Thanks about the editing

As far as the 2003 viper i love it because it gives me the most of what i desire for a certain price point of 90k

Rare at 9900 srt10s in the world
510 hp with lots of modding potential
Entry level exotic status and americas first supercar
11's quarter at 122 plus mph capable with still good handling/brakes

Thought lots about getting a 08 viper ot 04 lambo but just cant let this car go.

As far as reliability this is my third viper purchase and they are bullet proof. My nsx on the other hand was akin to a limp wristed vampire playing football. Constantly broken.. Once had to replace a 4k clutch and timing belt because i made 3 quartermile passes. 4k??!!!! In comparison the parts and labor on a new clutch for the viper is 1k.

I currently have 5 other regular cars besides my viper. My wife and i are in negotiations about tradeing two of them for a 09 gtr.. I really want a 12 but at 95k vs 65k for a 09 its a hard bargain with my wife who will be driving the gtr.

Hope to join you guys. Very impressed with the stoplight and low roll acceleration

Since mine is a 2003 convertable they only weigh 3380 pounds from the factory with all fluids topped off. Actually a light car. Its the 2006 coupe and all the 08-2010 models that are 3450 pounds.

So i deleted the cross pipe and cats and replaced it with a titanium straight piped exhaust. This eliminated 90 pounds. Then i went with a
Lightweight flywheel and lightweight underdrive pulley loseing another 20 pounds. Then another 15 pounds with a 2008 style lightened hood.

Was around the 3250 pound mark but then added the half cage roll bar you see behind my seats for safety and increased rigidty and a decent stereo system bringing the weight back to 3300 pounds

Heres me at the same 500 rwhp vs a intake/exhaust/tune gtr. His power was unknown at the time but he dynoed 560 awhp a week later with a slightly differant aftermarket tune. My guess is 520 awhp at the time of this race. I spun a little but it is what it is

Great vids, and creative. The 30 roll would have been better for you if you didn't have those junk tires on the Viper though, then no-lift shift it and you're out by 3-4 cars no matter what happens, you can see where the GTR gains a ton of ground during your shifts. If my 1000rwhp 97 tech GTS can take no lift's, yours can with ease. Don't be surprised to see tail lights after a tune though, gotta love turbo cars!
