Hi,

I would like to ask the members here about and how to clean the EGR system.

Has anyone experienced any EGR problems? any abnormal MAF readings during off throttle (during vacuum)?

Does anyone know how the GTR EGR system work? Seems to have external air pump to supply the air to the exhaust port..which is different to other old system I think.

What is the best way to clean the ERG valves without taking the engine out. Would it be ok/effective to spray carb cleaner in to the inlet port of the ERG valve hoping that it will clear out any clogged ports or sticky valve?
I was thinking of just spraying carb cleaner into the inlet valve as shown in the attachment.

Please help if you have any experience on this.

after you remove it, clean it with some carb cleaner.

If you don't have cats just remove it and install block off plates. Cobb can disable the DTC/MIL.

Yes thats another option..I will check for clearance and if I can remove the EGR without dropping the engine I will remove them.
