It's an SAE paper published by Nissan. Typically it costs $ to read those, and they're DRM'd so I hope people enjoy reading the paper.
There's a couple more JSAE (Japan) papers on the GT-R as well; they're all good snippets of info.
I don't mind paying for the SAE papers. I have a few on the VVEL, and a couple of other topics. Always an interesting read, for people into that kind of stuff.

Impressive technology. They weren't just aiming to make things bigger for more power, they aimed for efficiency; thus, new technologies such as the plasma sprayed bores were developed, and this allowed for better internal cooling. Power in a smaller package.

We see why with some aftermarket changes, this engine with stock internals can produce about 1000 hp; that's Veyron-like performance, but remember, this V6 is only a 3.8L engine ... Wow!

EDIT: I stand corrected, the internals might not be completely stock for that power level reliably. Still, it's only 3.8L.

I make reference to it and paste some of the info / graphs from it in my engine build videos from last March on my youtube channel.

Do you have the numbers of those papers? Might like to buy them from SAE.
