2017 Nissan GT-R – Blaze Metallic (Orange) – 35,720 Miles - Bethesda, MD

This is probably the hardest part of this post – the story or reason behind the sale. Well, I don’t really have anything special to say… can’t really believe I’m even posting it (just had two buddy's try and talk me out of selling last night... but here it is). I bought this car off the showroom floor in 2017, never thinking I’d be this invested in it, but as my screen name suggests, I overdo everything I take interest in. This car has exceeded every expectation I ever imagined providing its incredible level of performance. I’ve constantly been told, “don’t go and try and replace its performance… you’ll only end up back in another one," so I'm moving forward in search of something totally different. The car has been an absolute blast to drive, its reliability is top notch, and it has a commanding presence wherever it goes. This car was built with a blank check – my goal was an 8 second car, that IF I EVER decided to track/drag race the car (I never did), I wouldn't have to worry about it breaking. So I spared no expense and everything that was recommended to do/buy… I did/bought. As they say, "Fast, Cheap, Reliable: If it's cheap and reliable... it isn't fast. If it's fast and cheap, it isn't reliable. If it's fast and reliable... it isn't cheap." I have over $85k in receipts and everything that was done to the car was done by the professionals. You can easily say it was overbuilt for street use. For a time, it was so fulfilling knowing just how much power I had on tap, but it quickly became known just how fast the car was and it was all downhill from there. Now, no one wanted to play with me and she sees the least amount of time out the garage since I’ve owned her. This past year, I found myself in search of destinations, always under normal RPMs (no fun). So rather than letting the car sit seeing no duty, I figure it’s time for me to move on and let someone else share in a life changing experience. She's only seen rolling runs; I've only launched the car once after it was built. The overwhelming majority of the miles on the chassis are highway miles driving around the beltway. Car drives like stock outside of billet gear whine and slower spool. I’ve babied this thing since the day I owned it (even tore out a bedroom to convert it to a garage) so the overall condition of the car is easily 9.5/10. See it for yourself.

Full transparency, despite the Carfax, I’m the second owner. I say that because the car had 1k miles on it when I bought it. I don’t know if the owner of the Porsche dealership bought from Nissan and then offered it up for sale before ever registering and titling the car, but it was an awesome deal for me – I didn’t have to pay MSRP and it was already broken in. The car was flawless then and it’s nearly that way today.

Ask me anything… and I guarantee you nothing short of the truth. I believe in doing things the right way and I want to ensure the potential and/or new owner has the utmost confidence in what they are considering investing in. Please request more photos... I have too many to share.

Why is it for sale: Barely drive the car and when I did… it was in its tamest setting; overbuilt the car and don’t use it like it could be. So I’m moving on and looking to go slower with something more exotic.

No such thing as over building for the street. Great quality parts (aside from SBD) and this is a solid deal for anyone that is contemplating buying a 17+ and then building it and waiting 6+ months.

Good luck with the sale - someone is going to get a fun street car.

And FWIW - I’m with you 200 miles on the R35 this year and some of those were Cicio dyno lol.

Much appreciated droptopp. I thought it was reasonably priced given the modifications (number and quality) and fully agree... whoever ends up owning it is going to love it.

Good luck to with your sale as well. You've been around these cars for a very long time... I've followed (from a far) the number of builds you've been through... can't say I'm surprised you're looking for a change - don't think there's a thing you haven't done with your car.

The thing I find most valuable about cars happened once again… it connects you with great people you wouldn’t ordinarily/randomly meet.

Socalaviator, first and foremost is was a great pleasure meeting you. I couldn’t have foreseen what smooth and seamless process this has been. I know we’ll continue to be in touch as time goes on. I’m glad you were able to see everything first hand and I know you’ll be pleased with the power and reliability of the car.

Thanks GTRLife for the amazing forum and community of good people.

Haha. Yeah man! I was always on this forum and Heritage just didn't post much in last few years (ran out of questions to ask lol)

I tried the Dragy on the airplane once but it didn't register. I think it lost cell connection as I climbed
