can 295 fit on the front?

wheels are 20x10 et35 (same as advans)

stock height, stock camber

because my rear tires are 345

295/345 might be a better match compared to 285/345

Go to tire rack web site to see .......tire must be really close in overall size 1% or less is best...

295 Cup2s must be 35 aspect ratio to fit........
actually currently using 285/345 PS4S which I had just mounted on the car

however last week after a WOT pull, I suddenly had "T/m clutch high temp warning"

I wasnt spinning tires

so I figured 295's on the front might be a better match (since Ps4s dont have 325 size on the rear)

but am concerned with possible rubbing or other issues.

Using OEM suspension and 20x10" et 35 front wheel with 295/35-20 tire you will be 3.6mm further from inner suspension and poke out 16.4mm more which is fine. TIre diameter is fine with 345 rear tire.

Some owners have remarked that an extra wide front tire makes steering feel a little heavy and slow. 295 tires may cost a little more. Rubbing would be possible with a lowered suspension but it can depend on negative camber settings.

hi

my current tires are very new

but i had warning last week for about 15 secs. "T/m clutch high temp warning"

could this be related to my current tire sizes 285/345 Ps4s?

cause wouldn't want to waste money buying new sets of tires again of 295/35r20 size

I'm not sure that your tire size was the issue, you mentioned no tire spin noticed. Problem corrected itself.

Most owners don't notice a problem.

I see this is on a 2019 premium. If it continues, may need to put stock wheel setup back on and take to Nissan for a new trans if ETS has decided to play up early...

Be mindful, though, that you don't always feel tyre slip. It may be slipping enough to heat up the front clutch without you noticing the rpm spike.

do you think going 295s on the fronts would be better fitted with 345s?

Stop asking if 295 is ok. That alone does not tell you what your overall diameter is. What are the exact tire sizes you running, that may tell you a bit more. The best advice is either stick to the OEM sizes or use same size tires all around to ensure you don't get random warning messages.

Probably want to try 295/35/20 then. Or simply go back to OEM sizes and see if warning message comes on.

Everyone talks about the 1% overall diameter difference rule, but I don't know if there is really a known tolerance, so for me, I just stick to square sizes.

I'm running 285/30/21 fronts on a 10.5 rim and 355/20/21 rears on a 12.5 rim and have no issues
