does GTR's transfer case work with hydraulic pressure (viscous coupling) or does is it chain driven?

Neither. The GT-R does not use a transfer case. Trust me, I know as illustrated in the graphic in my sig.
If you are familiar with PTO setups on older 4x4's or farm machinery, this is the closest comparison I can think of to describe what the GT-R uses. Obviously it's far more advanced than a tractor but it's the same principle. The part is a called a Fwd clutch, and it's a compuer controlled clutch pack that sends tq to the front diff. The rear diff is driven directly off the transmission, so the GT-R can send up to 100% to the rear, but only up to 50% to the front.

The best way I've heard it explained is 'the gtr is not an awd car, it's a rwd car with front assist'
Hope this helps!
