Hello GTR Legends,

its very difficult to shop for a decent extended warranty that covers bumper to bumper without having to shop online and get bombarded by a thousand people trying to sell their warranties calling you 10 times a day.

Can you guys suggest a couple of Extended warranties to go for a 2015 GTR Black with 29K miles on it ? Looking for both the base warranties vs bumper to bumper coverage warranties.

I saw a couple of waranties for bumper to bumper from 5600 to 8200 USD, but not sure if its worth for the car i am looking for.

Thank you legends.

The car has new air intake system and a catback exhaust , So not really sure if that qualifies for stock.
Any suggestions on warranty ? I am very wary of anything going wrong and then having to shell out a lot.

Does everyone who owns a modded (slightly or heavily) use/get an extended warranty ?

Sound like you have mods.... the tune and extent will determine the extent.. Poor tunes do damage to the motor.
Lots of launches are hard on the DCT..........Tell us more ...Stock down pipe or no cats........mid pipe delete is normal.. cat back exhaust just makes nice sound.. Size of intakes tells a lot of what been done..

Yeah, the exhaust is just the cat back exhaust for the nicer sound. The intake is from Bosch, Injector Dynamics
This is the exact piece

I've contemplated purchasing an extended warranty in the past before but never pulled the trigger. Looking back, it would just have been a waste of money. I vote for saving that $$ and doing something else fun with it.

Don’t bother with the warranty. Most problems that come up with these cars are due to modifications/tunes. At the end of the day, it’s a Nissan and most of the systems that would be covered by an extended warranty are very reliable.

I had a warranty on my car in the early days. I ended up needing a power steering pump. We did our best to make it look like it was stock and the warranty company sent an inspector out and because my tires were not stock size they wouldn’t cover the repair that would normally be covered. So be careful on extended warranties as they will be expensive and you might deal with what I went through. I ended up getting my money back since they Denied my claim for the sake of larger tires.

With that amount of miles, year of your GT-R, and mods (if just intake and exhaust), anything that could go wrong should have already gone wrong. There may be a very slight chance for something to go wrong but you are fine without an extended warranty. As long as it is not engine failure (unlikely), a shop can fix the broken things for the amount quoted for the extended warranty.
