I have two 2024 GTR's, a T-spec Midnight Purple and a Gunmetal Metallic with Amber Interior Premier. I'm happy and also part of the crowd that thinks they may appreciate in the future.

Do we have any indications to be believe this lottery will only be available for Japan buyers and the ‘25 won’t be coming to the US? Would mean the ‘24s in the US would be the most desirable depending on how you feel about the redesign… either way, glad I was able to get my ‘24 when I did.

everything that is coming out about this is strictly JDM market info. the lottery isnt new they did it for the Z NISMO last year because the dealer system works differently there .

I dont see why there wouldnt be 2025 for the US market.

300 Nismo's will render them low value collectors... 1500 world wide will take 3 years to liquidate .. Too bad Nissan never read the Porsche play book.......we today would have a Nismo at 700 hp.. and a track edition with proper cooling and seats etc.

I guess we’ll have to get creative if we want one

But one must be ready if that’s not gonna happen Matt lol

I'm just glad I was able to get a '24 that is already inbound from a dealer, and at just $5K ADM. When I put my order in for an '09, I was "lucky" to find a dealer that accepted $10K ADM. Most other dealers were requiring at least $20K, and some even held auctions to the highest bidder. Mine is supposed to arrive the end of next month.

About time if this is true. I LOVE my R35 and it's still my favorite GT-R even over my 34 and 32 but the 35 hung around for too long with not enough change to justify it IMHO. If Nissan had stopped production earlier the hype train would have built massively for a future generation during the hiatus.

2025 GTR Announcement
The R35 NISSAN GT-R was developed with the product concept of pursuing the ultimate driving pleasure , and since its launch in 2007, it has continued to improve with each model year.
In the 2025 model to be released this time, the "NISSAN GT-R Premium edition" has been newly set with "Blue Heaven," an exclusive special interior color based on blue.
In addition, the piston rings, connecting rods, crankshafts, etc. of the "NISSAN GT-R Premium edition T-spec" and "NISSAN GT-R Track edition engineered by NISMO T-spec" have been used only for the "GT-R NISMO Special edition". By adopting the high-precision weight balance parts that were used in the previous model, we have increased the precision of the response and further refined the performance.
These two models also feature a new aluminum name plate with the craftsman's name engraved in red letters and a gold model number plate inside the engine compartment.

I'm confused by what these new "special edition" T spec and Nismo trims are offering that's different from the existing models.
yeah its confusing but I can explain. So back in April of 2021 when the NISMO special edition was announced ( the one with the unpainted hood and red stripe wheels) well there was an extra bit of info to that car that sort of got glossed over and lost in the press release. it had weight balanced internals with different tolerances

"weight-balanced engine parts such as piston rings, connecting rods, and crankshaft to improve response accuracy."

the 2025 GTR is just adding this to the non NISMO along with the red engine plaque

the biggest change for 2025 is the blue interior option. there is no super special final edition even though as I mentioned earlier it has been communicated to the dealers in Japan 2025 is the last R35

Interesting. I guess they didn't explicitly state this is the final year in the release? But I guess it's implied. I wonder if there will be a US market announcement for the 2025 to follow just to confirm all these details.

So it seems like the only different with 2025 is all the existing exterior colors carry over but now they can be optioned with this blue.. I think I'm happy with my amber but it does honestly look nice. I think on a pearl white or super silver it could work. Not sure about bayside blue though that does seem the most natural (similar to T spec in jade with the green interior, which I think it wears really well).

yeah the press release did not say THIS IS THE FINAL YEAR!!!! but its implied with the group shot of the generations and the message on the site. but you take that with what the Japan dealers were told about a decrease in available parts forcing production to end... you put that all together and it seems fairly clear to me.

I think the problem is most of us have hyped up a final year super GTR the last 10 years in our minds and when that isnt the case its sort of hard to comprehend the GTR might go out with a whimper
