yes that looks amazing...lets not jump the gun.. I say we hold off till its confirmed into production. like MC said.
I will go on a limb and say - it will not be an M5 killer and will even break into the 11's - low 12's is my guess. Plain auto will not make for spirited driving, nor will a 50/50 awd split.

Besides seeing if they make (it does look very nice) - let's see how it performs. Everyone seems to think its a four door GTR.

I don't think so.

yeah we still gotta see how she puts up me saying itll beat the m5 was just trash talk...lets see if she makes it to production and than how she does

My daily is an E63 AMG S - I love this car - best all round car I have ever owned. 3.2 0-60 and 11.5 1/4 according to Road and Track (I will verify this in the spring lol)...but the one thing it lacks is a great transmission. MCT does not shift in manual when it's supposed to - I leave it in auto. It needs a DCT. So does the Infiniti. That plus the fact the Benz has 577 HP and more importantly 590 lb ft of torque - there is no way the Rouge will be faster. With a DCT - it had a better chance. Add to that the E63 was dyno'd by MT at 676 HP and 636 torque - forget it.

I have to tell you - I am not impressed by the "new guard". He is talking about softening up not only the Rouge (which being fair makes some sense) - but the R36. I am not too hopeful for what they are going to come up with.

I think we are all going to be screaming for Mizuno soon.
My daily is a e63s also, see my sig, mine is tuned 603 awhp, 717 awtq. Prior to that I had a 2013 e63 tuned to 638 rwhp, 722rwtq.

For me...w that much torque it just doesn't fkn matter MCT or DCT there is so much torque In every gear. It shifts fast enogh for me. It's not a track car

I have the 2014 E63 S awd. The awd is a great thing - its a permanent 33/67 split which at least gives you some (very controllable) oversteer. The MCT in manual does not shift when you shift and if you are close to redline you will limiter. I thought about tuning it but I have a 1000 awhp GTR which I am upgrading - so I like at least for now - to keep it stock (I need to see what it can do first - I've seen 3.2 11.5 at 123 MPH on Road and Track - which isn't too bad).

I will admit I am biased towards Mizuno. Ever since the new guy started talking about softening the next GTR and making it even more accessible - I started to feel somewhat nervous about it. I very much hope I am wrong, but this Rouge concept seems to back that up a bit. I think they want an M5/E63 fighter - but they are hoping the GTR mystique will be enough to cover up its lack of overall performance. I have owned a G37S and M37XS and they were fine cars - but performance was not their strong suit - they were always behind the 335i and S4.

Again we will see how it performs - but as of now with what they are stating so far - I am betting against it.

The Rouge is not my main concern - its the R36. The legacy is important to me. All the bashing from every other car manufacturer fan simply proves just how great of a bench mark the R35 was (and truly unbelievable - 7 years later - still is) I simply want them to keep their eye on their Halo car like Mizuno did (tough shoes to fill yes). Don't compromise so much to meet everyone's expectations that you end up meeting none of them.

Cool.. I have the same car as u. S model 4 matic.

Now I know I just said I didn't want to modify - but - how is the shifting (I heard it is crisper with the tune and with a higher redline) - and most importantly - how is the ride/shifting in comfort? Does it ruin the usper-smooth ride?

I think I saw your car on youtube - black? Have you run it with LC at the drag yet with your tune?

Thanks!

Shifts harder and faster. Bang bang bang in sport plus. It's faster and a by harsher then my tuned 2013.

I've honestly never drive it in comfort lol!! It's manners are untouched by the tune the already brisk acceleration feels like ur shot out of a cannon when u stab the throttle , throttle response is better 2. I feel like my 2013 had sharper throttle response then this 4matic car

Thanks for the responses - I am going to look into it after I take the car to the track...I think I saw your car run high 11's without LC when it was stock?

This is one of two reasons I won't buy it - 50/50 full time awd and a regular auto...not good.
Same here. It should have the DCT and the same AWD as the GTR.

I have a Q50s hybrid and the auto transmission doesn't impress me as far as performance goes. It's fine for a cruiser but will not cut it in a true powerful 4 door sport car. Maybe I'm just spoiled with how fast and well the GTR DCT shifts.

Stock will trap about 119, and do mid 11s. Tuned one has gone 11.08@129mph.

They are absolute beasts.

lots of people are getting over exited for this car...im just in to see how the motor pust out in a 4 door and compare the performance to the big dogs like m5, amg etc... the car still has to prove its self. otherwise I wouldn't wana see the motor in any other car but a gtr. but with that said its a nice car and itll sure be fast

Lol - AMS tuned your car? If Eric is on here - I wonder whether they had to drill a hole in your ECU case - or were they able to take it off and put it back on again? One of the reasons I am hesitating is the fact you have to get at the ECU which is glued shut. If AMS is available - that is a great option.

Both Motortrend and Road and Track trapped above 120 (121.8 and 123 respectively I believe). Here's a video of the guy I thought was you - no LC - 11.88 at 119.95 MPH...
