This device raise the game for track dedicated folks like myself. I now have infinite control off all variable in terms of AWD and traction. Flying round Road Atlanta with MAP#4 creates insane grip... (go cart). congrats to Ben Linney for always raising the bar.

 

Got mine installed (w/o tearing through the Styrofoam haha). Definitely notice a difference. I'm still learning everything though, haven't messed with the programming of it, and have yet to really get after it with this installed (due to needing to upgrade my fuel system). But what little I've used it, it's noticeable. I'll post more when my car gets done...

Its no different to the ECM, nissan did some strange things on the boost control side, calculated timing and others things so we tune with with new code.... so for higher power for more grip or to prolong your fwd clutches retuning the awd ecu is the way

 

Will this solve 60 feet issues at the drag strip? After flex fuel I can't seem to get my usual 1.5x 1.6x time. Now it's high 1.7 ,1.8 and 1.9's .

Just curious, what makes this so much better for 1000+whp cars? im not debating whether or not it is, just wondering what feature is a benefit so i can understand. As an ecutek user who has no idea what his tune and TC strategy actually looks like, what does this change that isnt already in the map?

Works awesome, spin is a thing of the past now. Crazy grip even with just r888. I'm hooking all of second and almost all of first. I feel like I can even launch in the rain now... Will try once we get some!

Do you need to be using ecutek for this or is this a separate software program that is not ecutek? I'm interested in this, but want to stay with my Cobb tuning already present on my car.

 

Nothing to do with ecm. You can run whatever you want, Cobb, ecutek, etc. It's a module that replaces the existing awd module under your passenger seat. You literally swap it out and you're done. It does have a cable to adjust parameters if you want through a program you can install on a laptop, but I haven't done anything other than install it and test it in full awd mode. I also tried the zero awd setting and you're pretty much just spinning the rear tires at that point.

 

Today I drove around with AWD in slot 0 which should be no AWD torque sent to front wheels. I'm not trying to hammer it, just driving it with the flow of traffic. I have to say it's really nice. With no torque going to the front things are a touch smoother. Tight turns don't bind the front tires, gentle take off from a stop are really smooth and the car generally just feels like a nice smooth rear wheel drive.

I also tried map 1 and it also seems decent for daily driver. just a touch of torque sent to front as needed. Map 2 in my mind feels like it is probably closest to stock strategy, and map 3 (full AWD) seems to be the best for maximum traction on the track or for hammering it off the line.

I have some other maps to load and try and will report back, but these are the slots that came with the controller as is, with no modifications. If there is a more technical way to go about this, let me know and I'm happy to capture logs or other data as needed.

Do some vBox runs 60-130s using the stock awd mode, then full AWD mode that the box offers, same tires same day that should give a pretty good idea how well it works or doesn't.

Im excited. I do a lot of vbox testing so Ill be able to see any difference immediately. Sucks its so hot down here right now.

 

I may have just purchased a billet front diff casing...could prove interesting to beef up the ETS, front shaft and the casing in conjunction with this controller.

 

Shit works good. Still have to dial it in to get it perfect, but a porsche 918 ain't no slouch off the line.

Here was the 918 against a panigale 1199r. That porsche launches hard like a mofo. Never experienced that in person before.
