Install is pretty straight forward but I'll post some details for those that may need it.
Pry of the plastic covers by hand to expose the 14mm bolts holding the seats in place. Move the seat forward and back to access the bolts.
Unplug the harnesses from under the seat. Throw a towel on the door sill for protection and remove the seat.
Cut away the styro foam to access the controller. If you wish, you can take apart the interior to avoid cutting the styro foam but it is clearly recessed for access at that spot.
Use a 10mm to remove the contoller and a philips to take off the cover of the controller and to remove the board. Put in new board and reverse the procedure. (I would suggest to leave the usb cable plugged in for easier programming in the future rather than pulling the seat again.)
I went one step further and found a usb adapter and integrated the AWD Controller software on my Ecutek tablet.
