I think is going to be in the USA in July as a 2018 new version to boost new sales for 2018 to pro long the release of the R36 in late 2019. That's what I would do if I was running Nissan's sales consultant program.

I think if anything it would be a NISMO RS even though the current NISMO is 175K and isnt selling hardly at all. NISMOs GTR GT3 racecar is supposed to be all new for 2018 so speculation could be there might be an ultra low production road car model to go with it. from a sales point of view the last thing they need is a more expensive more niche car but if there is a special model coming my guess is it will be that. the S,R, Z-tune moniker is sort of dead and RS would be the branding of a higher end NISMO now and the SpecV was sort of a precursor to the NISMO itself so I think that name for this generation is done too.

sales are so stagnant im not keen on them putting much into the rest of the R35 life post 17 refresh. but out of the options you mentioned some ultra rare NISMO car to tie in with the new racecar launch would be the only one I think possible beside some special color or badge GTR as send off

I agree with you hundred percent on that.They have to stay in the $108,000 to $112,000 with ever they come out with to sell just a few hundreds in 2019.
