New Y pipe exhaust leak

I installed my new Y Pipe last night. It's an Armytrix Titanium Racing Y Pipe. It's not flexible like the factory pipe so I had a bit of a hard time getting it lined up perfectly. The flange where the Y Pipe meets the factory titanium cat back does not mate perfect, I even loosened off the hangers for the cat back to try and get them to mate perfectly flat and they do not. There is carbon on the heat shield from before indicating that this issue existed before. Is it something I should even worry about? I come from a machinist background not a mechanic so sometimes I'm one to overdo things. Any input I'm sure would be helpful.

Check the exit diameter of the midpipe to ensure it is at least 90mm as the reducer from GotBoost will not fit smaller diameters.

Highly recommend you look into using RemFlex exhaust flange gasket(s) - they are a little thicker than most and a semi-soft carbon type material that will compress to compensate for an out of alignment flange. They are high quality, reusable and work awesome in these types of scenarios.

[EDIT]
These are the gaskets I used:

Part#
8006 = 3" 2-flange
8055 = 3.5" 2-flange

check with Dave at GotBoost Performance - he usually has them.
