You must not be going to the track. These cars are all over the place and they are extremely fast and cheaper to mod with tons of options. Great value if you like American cars!
Mid 9's is so common place now it's crazy.

There's a ton of guys between 9.40-9.70.

Below that and you're pushing the factory bottom end, but yes, 9's in the previous generations 10's.

Great work Chris, I had a blast in my 2014 TT GT. I've been keeping tabs on the S550, insane platform. I can't live without AWD at this point though and I've always dreamed of owning an R35 so I had to let her go. Just biding time with my fun little 335i x-drive (FBO of course).

Gotta love that Ford starting putting the powder forged rods from the Boss in these new GTs. They can handle a lot more now.

No question the rods are the biggest game changer in the 2015+ coyote engine, and combined with E85 ethanol, we're not having any issues pushing the cast pistons to 4 digits thus far.

I haven't dyno'd the car over 16 PSI, where it put down 933whp. But on the drag strip, we turned it up to 20 PSI on those 157mph passes....which is just under 1100whp based on our HP per 1 PSI of boost gains.

I should add, we're pushing this motor into uncharted territory, so we have begun sleeving an additional block I bought over the summer.

I realize odds are high at 4 digit HP...it's only a matter of time before something gives.

But I'm very impressed with how long it's lived knowing the car has been used 100% of it's life for street tuning and drag racing.

Yep. Traci a local here ran the piss out of her 2012 Boss for over 2 years at about 850 rwhp. Mid to high 9s all day with the KB 3.6L. It finally let go when they upped the boost more. I'd imagine you could push the turbos to a higher threshold though.

Good luck with the car. I have a lot of love for the new ones. Excellent car and platform IMO.

I've only see one cracked cylinder wall so far and it was right at 1000whp from a Supercharged 2015.

So far, zero blown turbo motors that I'm aware of.

We've expanded into several new platforms in the back half of 2015, but the Mustang is probably the newest platform I'm most excited about.

The engine + trans appears to be bulletproof with very little money invested.

So $13k installed & tuned via a legit shop in your network as a promo price to get some kits on the streets? What say ye?
Turbo Kit is $9000
Built Transmission is $3K plus shipping to/from Finish Line Motorsports.
Labor will run you around $2500-3K for both.
Tuning $500-1000 depending on who you use.

Down here in So Cal (according to my friend who attends weekly "Mexico" street racing) the Mustangs are running the streets. I don't doubt it as these races are taking place on semi-prepped street surfaces. Fast. Very Very fast

The TT setups on these Coyote motors are just crazy. Makes me miss my 2013 Boss 302.
