Hey guys so I've been looking on the forum and seems nobody really runs Ssr wheels. I was looking into the sp4 wheels. (Love advan gt's but like deep dish wheels) I know most common to run is a 20x10 and 20x12 setup but when it comes to picking which disk type I need I get confused. If someone could give me a hand looking some specs on these wheels would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

i have been looking for wheels too and love SSR wheels in my business I deal with many wheel and tire shops that deals with SSR's, Volks/Rays and Advan wheels, don't get me wrong the SSR is a awesome wheel manufacturer but for our cars is all about the weight of the wheels. I think those 3 piece wheels are heaving over a forged wheel, a forged wheel its lighter and stronger over a 3 piece wheel and you will get chances of air leaks.

Yea I really like the advan gt's. If I could find a set for a good price I would probably pick them up. Other then that I'm a 3 piece wheel guy. I like going to shows every now and then but I'd have a separate set for drag strip/road course racing. Just all depends. Specially because most single piece wheel option like the advans are so common on this platform. But thanks for your input everything is appreciated!

Me too a 3 piece wheels stands out over a 1 piece wheel, the SSR was my first choice was either the SP4 or the SP1. I love their finishes. My friend shop is a big SSR dealer here and has a warehouse in California if you interested let me know.

Maybe someone can confirm this but putting a heavier wheel will affect the drivetrain or the 4 wheel drive system

I appreciate it. I'm sure that the weight of them couldn't be that far off from the stocks with the run flats. So I wouldn't be too concerned with harming anything.

Hey, we are huge SSR Dealer for the East Coast. I can help you out with Disk Size, etc.

Front | 20x9.5 +25 HP Disk (55mm Lip)
Rear | 20x11.5 +18 NR Disk (106mm Lip)

Those sizes are flush fitting and will clear your brakes. Reason I opted not to mention the 20x10.0 / 20x12.0 setup is because the offsets are kind of aggressive for stock body GTRs.

The MS3 have a different Face Design than the SP4. Typically they can accept larger brakes with a lower disk because of that reason.

You could run 20x10.0 +29 MD Disk Front (68mm Lip). But the amount of spacer needed I am not sure.

The SP4's look fantastic with a very wide range of fitment options. In my opinion, the JDM wheels tend to be of higher quality than some of the domestic boutique wheels and run into less problems, (finish, high speed vibration, leaks). I had a few sets of 3 piece SSR wheels on my modded 97 supra TT. Loved them. Not a single issue.

Thanks Formidable yea I really like advan gt's but my issue with them is that 1 out of 3 gtr's have them. These are more of a deep dish version which I'm a huge fan off. Just trying to get the best sizing possible with these. I have a very aggressive setup I'm gunna look into and possibly try fitting. I just hope I don't go to aggressive cause I don't want stretch. If I only need a hair then I'll go for it but I gotta see. Sizing I was looking at is 20x10 +29 MD disk front and then 20x12 +11 NR disk rear. I know these may seem super aggressive but I would love to see if they'd work.
