Due to significantly modified 2012 transmission because of my lack of faith due to the FIRST failed transmission, we did not even try (failed sensor was a Dodson part)

Piston seal failure? After that build - that is tough. I wish it wasn't so expensive to break it open to replace small things.

The failure was one of the Dodson early version pressure sensors, but while Sharif was putting it back together they pressure test the other seals, and one of them wasn't quite up to his standards.

A relatively inexpensive one, but of note nonetheless.

If this isn't fixed under warranty - I will burn Nissan to the ground, and, as another forum member mentioned, take the broken transmission out and kill myself with it

Year- 2010

Codes- no codes

Symptoms- Binding during slow speed turns( this has been going on for the year I have had the car, I thought it was normal), lost front wheel drive, broke front wheel drive output shaft.

Miles- 16,700

What was I doing at time of failure- 8th pass of the day, drag racing at Bandemiere

Mods- Full bolt on E-85, ECM and TCM flash, Ecutek

Track use- 2 full track days, around 50 launches

Warranty filed- August 1st 2013, denied August 5th 2013

I gave the warranty a shot. Was turned down due to TCM flash only. This sucks but, I new what the consequence would be if I modded my car.

If you flash the Cobb LC2 back to the GTR is that the same as the factory LC2?
I selected to save my original LC2 when flashing the TCM, but have a feeling it didnt save because when i went to load it back a while ago it looked like it was the Cobb LC2.

I had Visconti load stock lc2 back on the car and warranty was still denied. Nissan said they could see the car was flashed. What is one to do, ask for proof? And then what fight it? I want my car back so I can drive it. I will just get the car fixed and move forward.

Sorry to hear that Chris!! When did it fail? Last Wednesday?
It failed on the 27th of July. Its funny how I came up to you guys looking at Robs broken car, I was saying how happy I was with my car because it had been so reliable. Oh well.

Now THAT is a surprise. I am so sorry. Were you running higher than stock boost levels? Was any detectable "tune" loaded on the car when it arrived at Nissan?

If so, then the "agglomeration" of factors doesn't surprise me. If it arrived running E85, then the coffin was in the back when you pulled up for your warranty, but what you said above makes me ask what tune it arrived with.

Was the car ever on Cobb LC flash before you went Ecutek? Maybe they can see that.

No, It didnt have any flash when I bought it.

I've got an 09 GTR with 44k miles, stock except for Cobb intakes and tune. Trans went into limp mode with only odd gears and no power. Used Cobb to reset and get to dealer. Dealer ordered/installed caps per service bulletin. Got car back yesterday and seemed fine. Drove 100 miles on highway and while getting off car locked into 5th gear. While I was trying to deduce what was going on a massive shrill went through the car like I was going into park. Sounded like two gears at once. Car came to a violent stop in the intersection with a semi car carrier behind me that shuttered to a stop 5 feet behind me. Car had service engine and trans failure lights on and indicated 2nd gear. Shut car off then started and put into neutral and tried to push but all locked up. Tried 1 and rev but no clutch engage. Cars were coming fast off ramp so I reset error codes with cobb and car started to move. Drove down shoulder in 2nd and parked at work. I'm pretty sure this trans is toast. These valve bodies are serious trouble. Still under extended warranty for another month. What are the chances of getting a new transmission?

Is it just me or does it look like many cars had transmissions fixed/replaced UNDER warranty even though they had mods like a Cobb AP Etc?
I thought and was told that with any mods the warranty would not be honored.

P2832 - Broken Shift Fork A

Symptoms of failure
[background=rgb(246, 246, 246)]For about 2-3 months the car occasionally wouldn't shift into 6th at low speeds (~50mph or so). Would flash '5' on the dash then eventually go into 6th. This seemed to clear up with a clutch re-learn, so I never really worried about it. [/background]

What were you doing at time of failure
[background=rgb(246, 246, 246)]Tonight after a spirited drive I casually pulled onto a highway and manually shifted through all the gears. It refused to select 6th then threw a transmission failure warning and went into limp mode. P2832 was thrown. I cleared the code to see if it was a false code. No deal. After moving off the line in 1st and selecting 2nd, the car ground to a halt and would no longer move in any gear, requiring a tow. [/background]

LOL - Not even going to try.

Brockas I had the same thing happen to me and the fix is rather simple. Dodson or Willall gear stoppers should fix that issue.
Thanks Hitman.

I'm trying the Nissan clips as outlined in the TSB (as attached) next weekend. Hopefully that should fix my issues
