What if any issues plague the 2013 GT-R?

With the early news of the 2014 GT-Rs getting very minimal changes I am sure that many people are on the fence regarding buying now at an MSRP or better rate rather than wait and possibly pay above MSRP with dealer mark ups…

I am curious regarding 2013 owners real world experiences after putting some miles and wear and tear on this year model. How is the 2013 holding up under normal driving conditions? or during racing? Any transmission issues? If so, was it in true stock form? or after being modified? Any other issues? Please share your 2013 experiences "GOOD or BAD". Are the 2012-13 brakes any better than before due to the increase in size?

Please share your experiences and thank you!

Have had mine for about 4,000 miles only. I don't think youll find much high mileage 13. I don't have a single problem...yet. Got my SBD exhaust system about 1,000 miles ago. It rides nice before and after. I haven't ride in any other model year but I know people complain about having to update to lc5. My transmission drives smooth and good. Brakes bite pretty good also. Typical squeal and brake dust though.

I have about 7500 miles on my '13 Black Edition now. I've modded it pretty heavily, everything except motor and trans. Running a turbo upgrade tuned at 671hp/600tq. I have about 4-5 hard track days on it so far. Absolutely 0 issues to date. The car runs flawless. Significantly better build quality compared to my old '09 GT-R. The stock trans has held up perfectly so far, but it's still low miles, so only time will tell.

I've had two 13s so far. The first premium 13 had about 4K and recently got the 13BE. Im reaching my 1K mark on the BE and I've had ZERO issue with both 13s.

I have 1500 on my BE and I am still smiling every time I look at it and more so when I drive it.

Had my 2013 BE for 6500 miles. Got a low oil warning light about 1300 miles in. It was topped up on the POS and has been perfect since.

500-550 miles on my 2013 so far, and my only issue is the paint...smallish stone (*just* big enough for me to see it) was kicked up by a car in front of me, just as i was changing lanes to exit. made a barely audible glancing blow on the side skirt. i'm now left with a small scratch. i've had other (much cheaper) cars that have taken harder hits from larger debris than that and came out without any sort of noticable scratch.

Two minor issues so far for me @2000 miles.
1) One morning a few weeks ago I found the battery dead (~3V). I checked and nothing was left on, so I'm not sure what happened.
2) Another morning, I pushed to unlock button on the door and the alarm sounded. I dug out my key fob and turned it off. Hasn't happened since.

Had my '13 since April, 7,200 miles and the only problem is the hunger for more power... more cooling... more stopping... and more carbon.

More of a personal issue than a mechanical issue.

I don't have 13, I have a 10 and I've only had my car at the dealer for pos and installation of mods. Ive not had any issues. I think thing fist editions got a bad rap cause people beat the crap out of them. If you beat the 911 you will also have issues. For eg the 2005-07 911 and s model had engine probs which the manufacture knew so when customers had engine failure they replaced them under warranty. This was done instead of doing a recall( which can't be since its a Porsche). My friends car had less than 15000 when he had the engine replace and he babied his car. That being said , my opinion is the Gtr is a well built car and for its ability there is no better choice

Just one issue here, not driving GT-R enough. No other issues to report. 2013 is a huge improvement comparing with my old 2009. Love the car to pieces!

Hey guys, I just got my transmission replaced on my '09. Assuming this is the 2013 transmission. Do you guys also hear a little noise from the transmission when it warms up (not overheated, just warm and in low gears)?
