We know that these seats can fit right into the GTR,

How about seats from other Nissan's like the Nismo 370z or Juke? I find our seats to be too thick and can do without all the electronics for a thinner and more elegant seats.

Have you seen the Juke's optional NISMO seats ? Pretty nice.

Seats are really a tough one for me to crack. At first I wanted to save as much weight as possible but not that I've had the car for awhile everyone likes the seat heaters. So now looking at maybe the new Recaro's coming out.

I have the Recaro Sportster CS seat on the way to me now. On a side note, do we need to code anything when replacing the stock seats?

Slider and bracket is a no brainer. Didn't know what was required for the airbags. Thanks!

I can now confirm that you indeed have to tear apart the entire cushion in order to get the sensor out. If you have any plans of keeping your stock seats intact, pulling the sensor from them isn't going to be a viable option.

FYI, Planted bracket sits the seat higher than stock. Not sure if I like this or not.

Nothing listed on their site that I saw.

Yes, they do. From the looks of it though, they are meant for full buckets only.

The AMS will fit sliders as well, in fact they come with them. The passenger side will always be higher because of the way the floor structure is, no matter if you get Planted, AMS, or Wedge brackets . Looks to be about 3/4 inch higher on the pass side.

You can keep the sliders if you want if they are from a Recaro seat. The brackets you'll obviously have to get a new set. Talk to James at Vivid for anything you need!

The sliders are normally universal but it would be safe to double check.

AMS, Planted & Wedge all make GTR seat brackets. Usually they are setup to universally accept any slides. AMS includes sparco sliders, or you can order them from Summit. I still dont like that there's a height difference between driver and passenger when going aftermarket seats.

Kind of surprised some one hasn't developed a hack plug and play to remove the passenger sensor with a manual switch. I used one for my FJ when I put PRP suspension seats in. Worked great with squibs soldered in on the air bag lines.
