Hi everyone, new here and contemplating if i can pull off an R35 as a daily in Minnesota. Last year I had a 991.2 Turbo S in Miami blue and I loved the car but not the attention. For the really bad weather I have a Subaru outback to blend in, but I would probably outfit the GTR with snow tires.
Regarding the attention factor (or as my wife put it, the "spectacle"). At a gas station talking to a fellow car enthusiast who spots my car, I love those encounters! People at random taking pictures on the highway, I'm not really into that. (this happened with my 911)
So my question is, in a discreet color like white or silver, can an R35 blend in? It's just a Nissan!? Or am I deluding myself that this will be another spectacle that my wife will despise.
Final caveat, I want a late model car, like 2020 or later, no mods, and if I had my choice it would be a premium or maybe a purple T-spec. But the T-Spec may create the same situation as the 911 that my wife didn't enjoy.
Thanks, looking forward to real world input from this group on what a day in the life is like with these! I have some other older BMW's in my collection, and my son has a 2021 Civic Type R and my wife's daily is a 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser. So not a stranger to Japanese cars but I'm mostly a German car guy.
