Ok, so after install of the hardwire kit and visconti flex fuel kit, I noticed with key on, engine not running I can hear the fuel pump(s) running and also up by the rails I hear what sounds like fuel cycling through the lines, and an intermittent hissing sound. I double/triple checked for leaks and there are none. Not sure if this is normal or not. I tried to contact John, but no reply. Anybody have these installed and notice the same thing?
Any help appreciated.

Yes it is the version 2. And thanks for the PM as well. I contacted John about this on Feb 1st. He replied immediately saying it doesn't show on his record that I purchased it from him. I replied that my mother in law purchased it from his website for me for Christmas. No response. As you can imagine I'm not excited about that customer service so I figure I'm on my own to fix it. I understand being busy and taking some time to get back to someone, but there is no excuse for that. I'm not gonna start a thread bashing John. I just want a quick fix.

I've had issues in the past where people were sold knock off kits, so when people contact me I ask for proof of purchase.

Proof of purchase also allows me to figure out what batch the kit came from.

Email me and I'll try and get you sorted, but I'm going to need some information so i can track the order

I wasn't questioning your reasoning for asking me where the kit came from. I replied immediatly with the name of my mother in law who purchased the kit from your website and gave it to me for Christmas. Then no reply. That was the first of this month. I guess I'll resend that email that must have got lost in the shuffle. Or you could just reach out to me. Either way I wanna get this fixed ASAP.

Just an update... After talking to my wife in London, she emailed me the invoice from where she got the kit from and I stand corrected, it actually was purchased through speed by design. My fault, as it was shipped from visconti which is where I got confused. So as I stated before, it is actually a visconti v2 kit. After some back and forth with John via email about how he require proof of purchase to help me with this issue, I sent him all the info and emails with Chris from sbd that she had on file. Hopefully he gets back to me this time. Thanks to the guys who reached out via PM to help me try and figure out what I could've done wrong. The general consensus is that it is a true plug and play kit with very little room for installer error. I didn't read anything in the instructions about anything having to be set up in the tune except the removal of certain fault codes that could pop up during use. If it is tune related I would think Ben could figure it out as he's tuned cars with this set up before.

I read this whole thread. I don't think anyone is trying to be a hero here. John offered to fix a software issue since his product is involved. You declined said service.

Ill post up the whole thing with emails if moderators will allow and I'll let you guys be the judge. I'm not into bashing forum vendors but John has some communication issues he needs to iron out before he tries to make this an Internet war. I'm not the only one who thinks this as other members have reached out to me via pm to tell me about the issues they've had. John makes a great product. I've already admitted that. But if, god forbid, you have an issue...

If mods wanna move this to the vendor review section I have no problem with that.

Update:

Matthew is local to me - about 8 miles.

Earlier today I offered to take a look at the harness that's in his car to see what the problem is and fix it on the spot for him.

There was a misunderstand - he thought I wanted him to drive 60 miles for me to look at his car

We seemed to have cleared that up but for some reason this still isn't an acceptable solution for him.

I believe this is more than fair especially for something that was purchased December 8th 2015.

We have a pretty good email exchange at this point, if he wants to post it up he can, I have nothing to hide.

I'm sorry it came to this John. I meant no harm. It seems that a series of "miscommunications" have unfolded with my frustration being the underlying cause. Understand that the reason for this is because i got no replies from John for over two weeks after reaching out to him. I apologize if that makes me seem impatient. I have very limited time to work on my own cars and was hoping because i had time tonight that john could help me through this. Another member reached out to me and is willing to send me pics of the corrected harness as he had the same issue. I will fix it when I return from Virginia.

John V, just reading through this thread and this sounds exactly like the issues you and I sorted through in late December, early January with the secondary harness and secondary fuel pump relay? (This is Drew in Florida, btw)

Winker, John and I worked through a similar issue with my V2 wiring kit. If you can drive the 8 miles to John and it's the secondary harness at fault, that should be a really quick fix.

Although it's frustrating dealing with issues like this, wiring is pretty complex to do via email or phone. If i was that close I would have driven to John, but I understand where you're coming from also. If you need anything from me, let me know and I'll help in any way I can.

Hey man, glad we got that all sorted out!

There's a few different revisions of my harnesses but things need to be done differently on those revisions and because it's not very clear to me which batch this kit came from I'm trying to avoid what happened between you and I.

I sell a lot of stuff and try to help everyone out the best I can , I've driven hours to swap out a bad flex fuel sensor (something I don't even make just resell) so someone wouldn't have to miss their Dyno appointment with their preferred tuner.

Drew I do appreciate you allowing me to work with you and get everything sorted!

John
